The Caribbean's Best-Kept Secrets
We travel to the Caribbean a lot, and so do our guests. Between us we've
picked up a few island secrets that we should probably keep to ourselves, but
have decided to share in the interests of generosity! Uncover these secrets on
your next trip; you won't be disappointed...
Udder Delite in St. Thomas
This island favorite is located on the road to Magen's Bay and is a must-stop
either on your way to or from the beach.
Udder Delight serves fresh milkshakes (extra thick) in either alcoholic or
non-alcoholic versions. We loved the Cool-a-Mint, which blended vanilla ice
cream with kahlua and creme de menthe.

Whale-watching at Salt Cay
Just 30 minutes by island hopper from Providenciales, where our villas are
located, this "island that time forgot" is one of the only places we know where
you can snorkel with humpback whales. From January to April, the waters off this
sleepy cay teem with the gentle giants, often visible not far from shore. It's a
day trip you'll never forget!

Saturday Snacks in Anguilla
Anguilla is a gourmet paradise, but you don't have to spend big bucks and go
all out for every meal. Some of the best casual food to be had on the island
comes from the temporary grill stands set up in public areas on the weekend.
Some of our favorites? Ken's Pork, found at the Peoples Market, and the "corn
soup lady" at Ronald Webster park.

Bathsheba Beauty in Barbados
Everyone knows the beauty off Barbados' west coast, where most of the
island's villas and luxury resorts are located, but often overlooked is our
favorite day-trip destination, the east coast.
Pounded by the Atlantic, it's a dramatic place to watch pro surfers test the
waves and go for a hike along the cliff's edge.

Isle de Pinel, St. Martin
Just 5 minutes off the main shore of St. Martin and reached via tiny boat,
which crosses between the two innumerable times a day, charming Isle de Pinel is
quite simply the perfect excursion.
This glorified spit of beach has perfect sand, no cars (no roads) and no
ATMs, so bring cash to its one attraction...the tiki bars and grill.
