The area known as Kissimmee originally was not named such. It was originally
founded in the mid 1800's and named Allendale. The name was changed when it was

tribal word and was of Spanish origin for a mission that was named Atissimi and
Cacema, thereby formulating the word Kissimmee.

Universal's City Walk which houses great cafes and clubs or go to Disney World's
Pleasure Island.
