Logrono? The Most Attractive Place of Spain
Located at the beginning of the great river Irequa and near a valley also
called Irequa valley, this city of Logrono has a modest population of about
148000. The city has a vast stretch of green land and is surrounded by many
historical places. There is a stone bridge of ancient times to welcome the
tourist to this great city. Surrounded by the most impressive picturesque
scenery, the city is the most preferred by tourists who prefer quiet green
atmosphere around.

Logrono is famous not only for its impressive natural beauty; it has many

centuries ago; for example Santa María de la Redonda Cathedral which was built

remains of a Roman church that existed in the 12th century. Santa María de
Palacio is the other church which is believed to have been built in the 12th
century. The unique feature of this church is that its tower is in the shape of
a pyramid. San Bartolomé Church and Santiago el Real Church are the other two
popular churches built centuries ago. These historical churches are the most
ideal places for those who love architecture and they also give a religious

The Rioja Museum built on the Baroque building which is believed to have been
built in the 18th century has with it many paintings, stunning pieces of
sculptures and many other valuable ethnographic articles. Cultura del Vino de la
Dinastía Vivanco Museum and Casa de las Ciencias are the two other museums worth
visiting. Apart from this, there are many other places of historical importance
worth visiting.
Just a little away, a house dating to the 5th century could be seen where it
is said Roman generals stayed. There are many parks of botanical importance. The
square in front of the town hall is the place where Christmas is celebrated
every year.

decorative articles. Restaurants serve the local delicious specialties.
